GeoData 2011 Conference and Exhibition
Thursday, 03 November 2011

The GeoDATA 2011 Conference in Edinburgh (10th November 2011) is the perfect combination of educational GIS seminars and exhibitions from leading GIS providers.  Forth Valley GIS will be taking part in both the seminar and exhibition aspects of the conference – so why not join us?

The team will be exhibiting throughout the conference, giving delegates the chance to chat face to face, whilst Chief Executive Alan Moore will also be speaking at the conference on the subject of “Sharing GIS Services – Myth or Reality?”
Alan’s seminar will investigate the extent to which collaboration between public sector GIS-users has actually been achieved; particularly in a climate that has seen budgets and resources cut. The presentation will start at 1:30pm and Alan will be on-hand afterwards to answer questions and chat in more detail about the products and services that Forth Valley GIS offers.
The GeoDATA conference series (which has previously exhibited in London, Birmingham, Leeds and Dublin) aims to draw together leading professionals from the geographic industry to demonstrate and discuss the use of innovative cost cutting strategies. The theme for the 2011 roadshow is “Making Savings with Location Services: Real Savings, Real Examples” and other speakers at the Edinburgh event include representatives from Cadcorp, 1Spatial and Leica Geosystems.

GeoDATA seminars are free to attend and include refreshments, lunch and entry to the exhibition area. If you’d like to attend on the 10th of November and visit the Forth Valley GIS team you can register here:
