At Forth Valley GIS, we believe that geographic data plays an intrinsic part in our daily lives; so when we were invited to exhibit at the appropriately-named “Everything Happens Somewhere” conference we couldn’t resist! This year’s conference, held in Nottingham on the 2nd and 3rd of November, will focus on the Public Sector Mapping Agreement (PSMA) and how it has (and will) change working relationships across the public sector. Forth Valley GIS has a long history of transforming and improving local government services, which in turn inevitably leads to marked operational savings. The conference will feature presentations from both GIS professionals and Local Authority representatives; with the theme of “collaborative working” running throughout. Issues relating to cost sharing, data linking and information dissemination will also be discussed and investigated. Both Chief Executive Alan Moore and Solutions Manager Tom Moore will be on hand throughout the conference to answer questions and illustrate how Forth Valley GIS products and services such as Location Centre can be used by local authorities to enhance their service offering. You’ll find Forth Valley GIS at Stand 7 where you can also enter our prize draw! Improved services and the chance to win a bottle of Single Malt – what more could you ask? If you can’t make it down to Nottingham but would like to know more about Forth Valley GIS products and services, then give us a call on 01786 476060 or email us on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
